About How To Make Baklava
Lay a sheet of phyllo dough flat in a baking pan. Brush melted butter over its surface. Keep stacking sheets and buttering each layer. Stop once the bottom of the pan no longer shows.
Chop walnuts and pistachios into small bits and mix in a sprinkle of cinnamon. Spread that mix evenly across the stacked dough. Cut the stack into diamond shapes. Bake in a preheated oven and watch the top. Pull the pan at the first sign of golden color.
Heat sugar and water in a small pot. Stir in honey and a dash of lemon juice. Pour the warm syrup over the hot pastry straight away. Give the dessert a rest. The phyllo soaks up all the syrup ahead of serving.
